NICK GIERUS : BIOGRAPHY
For the past nine years I have been working as a freelance Product Designer and 3D Graphic Artist.

My experience began in Frankfurt, Germany working for a design & multimedia studio, producing work for large automotive manufacturers. It was here that I collected the first of many skills: engineering design, 2D graphics / illustration, 3D modelling, animation and extensive client laison. A presentation to a group of Audi engineers was one of the many highlights.

Three years later, it was back to Britain to continue work as a 3D modeller and 2D illustrator in a small design studio based in Southend on Sea. I spent one year working for clients such as Ford, Honda, Proportion and the Wallis clothes chain before deciding that it was time for an MA in Design.

This is what took me to Goldsmiths College and ultimately what has brought me to London.

Soon after graduation, I started work for the architects Spaced Out Ltd, primarily as a product designer and 3D modeller. The next four years were to be highly enjoyable, challenging and rewarding. It was also my first proper introduction to the London design culture which has at times left me breathless with its pace, talent and opportunity.

At present, I am working freelance, doing work for all of the above previous employers whom I am still in contact with. My experience has led me to work in the fields of the furniture design, automotive industry, manufacturing industry, residential architecture, commercial architecture, retail interiors, 2D animation, graphics and illustration.
