Evelyn Ficarra's music encompasses an eclectic range of expression, from solo voice pieces to electroacoustic chamber works, across collaborations with dance, theatre and film. Her composition is rooted in an obsession for sound - vocal, instrumental, environmental, mechanical, electronic. 'Music to me is never an abstraction: of necessity it's an extension of lived, and heard, experience.'
